Laurel Marina & Yacht Club
"Laurel Marina...The Only Place to Be!"
The Tri-Cities TN/VA region is centrally located within 600 miles of 55% of the U.S. population. Laurel Marina is the most conveniently located marina on South Holston Lake to the main highway (US Highway 421). Laurel Marina & Yacht Club is the largest marina within 200 miles of Bristol, Tennessee, and is accessible by a four-lane from anywhere in the country except for the last 207 miles of the trip which continues as a highly traveled two lane well maintained state highway connecting Boone, NC, and other popular tourist destinations in western North Carolina to the Tri-Cities region that is less than one hour away.
We feel that a well-run marina is integral to your boating experience. From our Ship's store to our environment stewardship, we strive to anticipate and exceed your expectations on every level.
In 2002, Laurel Marina & Yacht Club ws only the third marina in the entire TVA system to become a "Certified Clean Marina" and has maintained that certification to this day. We are exceptionally proud of this designation.
Laurel Marina is composed of approximately one and one half miles of shoreline within the harbor limits. There are approximately 4.0 acres of private land and 6.0 acres of public land that includes parking area for more than 400 vehicles. We are continually adding new events that enable our customers to user their boars more and visit our marina more often with their friends. We have customer appreciation day events, poker runs, in-water demo days, local charity, fund raising events at the marina, boater safety classes, and driver training classes for new boaters, as well as other events related to boating, such as being a charter sponsor of our "South Holston Lake Cleanup" which is now in its double digits of decades as the largest volunteer public lake cleanup in the country.
Additionally, which easy access to catering and dining options from The Harbor Grill, Laurel Marina can also arrange for captain services for large houseboat customers for events, dinners, or romantic cruises.
The safety and well-being of those who utilize our marina is of our utmost concern. For customers' safety, we have purchased and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) located in the Marina Store. Hopefully, we will never have to use it, but in case of an emergency, we are ready to assist in those critical moments. Our staff has received the basics of lifesaving procedures, and is confident to spring to action as first -responders in the even of an emergency. An emergency lake pick up service with complimentary tow-in provides peace of mind should a marina customer experience an unforeseen problem on South Holston-Lake, such as a mechanical breakdown, running our of fuel, or foul weather.
